GX1000's latest range, the Spring 2022 collection is here.
In recent ranges the brand have really taken a leaf out of the Quasi school of thought. Their cut and sew is completely different but the quality and construction feels very similar. They stepped it up a notch that's for sure. A little disappointing for yours truly though, they've switched from PS Stix manufacturing over to BBS. Paul Schmidt from PS Stix is known as the "Professor" for a reason, he makes the best boards out there. BBS is great though (just not as great or owned by a skateboarder).
Back to the range! The Gino vest: now, it's not 100% clear that it's inspired by Gino Iannucci but he's been known to wear a pullover vest when he skates. The difference between the new GX1000 Gino vest and the vests Gino wore is that this one is a heavy-weight fleece, it's a great spin. We love anything Gino here.
The range is full of crazy, childlike GX graphics on the tees and boards and embroidered on the back pocket of the baggy pants. This season sees the baggy pants in a black corduroy fabric, super soft and roomy and perfect for skating.
